Take ("we", "our", "us") operates https://jointake.com, a marketplace where producers and vocalists connect and manage music projects.
Information We Collect
- Account identifiers, email address, and sign-in information
- Name, artist name, profile photo, and other profile details you provide
- Role (producer or vocalist)
- Vocalist applications, services, rates, and published demo recordings
- Project briefs, messages, quotes, notes, uploaded files, and deliveries
- Payment and payout records, including transaction identifiers, amounts, and status
- Technical information such as IP address and approximate location
- Analytics data about website usage
Google Sign-In
If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides your account identifier, name, email address, and profile photo metadata when available. We use your account identifier and email to create or identify your Take account and authenticate you, and your name to help fill in your profile. We do not use your Google photo as your Take profile photo. You choose a Take avatar or upload your own image. You can also sign in with email.
How We Use Your Information
We use this information to:
- Create and manage accounts, profiles, and sign-in sessions
- Review vocalist applications and demo submissions
- Provide marketplace browsing, project collaboration, and file delivery
- Support quotes, payments, payouts, and related records
- Send sign-in codes, project notifications, and other account communications
- Manage waitlist subscriptions and product updates where you have requested them
- Provide support and resolve project or payment issues
- Improve the website and product features
- Prevent abuse and maintain security
We do NOT sell your data.
Public Profiles and Private Projects
Published artist profiles and the information and demos included in them are visible to marketplace visitors. Private project briefs, conversations, quotes, files, and deliveries are shared with the relevant project participants. Take and its service providers also process this content as needed to operate the service, provide support, and address security or payment issues.
Service Providers and Payments
We use service providers to operate Take, including:
- Supabase (authentication, database, and file storage)
- Vercel (hosting)
- Resend (email delivery)
- Stripe (payments and vocalist payout onboarding)
- Analytics tools (when enabled)
Stripe collects payment details through its checkout and payout interfaces. Information requested for Stripe Connect may include identity, business, tax, and bank details. Take shares information needed to set up your connected account, such as your email and business profile, and receives account and transaction information needed to manage payments and payouts. Stripe handles information according to its Privacy Policy.
Data Protection
We use HTTPS for the production site, account authentication and project access checks, and private storage with temporary access links for project files.
Retention and Your Choices
We retain information as needed to operate accounts and projects, provide support, resolve disputes or outstanding payments, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. The information and circumstances determine how long records need to be kept.
You may request to access, correct, or delete your data at any time. Account closure and deletion requests require review so that shared project records can be preserved and outstanding payments addressed.
