The Service
Take is a marketplace that connects producers and vocalists. We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time as the platform evolves.
Using Take does NOT guarantee:
- Continued access to the platform
- Bookings, paid work, or any particular earnings
- Acceptance or approval as a vocalist
User Submissions
By uploading audio or other content you confirm:
- You own the content or have permission to share it
- It does not infringe copyright
- Take may store, display, and review it to operate the platform
You retain ownership of your content.
Take's Role
Take is a marketplace that helps producers and vocalists find and work with one another. Take is not a party to any agreement between users, does not employ vocalists, and is not responsible for the work, conduct, or output of any user. Any deal for a vocal performance is between the producer and the vocalist.
Working With Vocalists
Vocalists on Take are independent contractors, not employees or agents of Take. They set their own pricing, availability, and the scope of what they deliver. Take does not guarantee the quality, timeliness, or commercial success of any vocal performance.
Licensing & Ownership of Vocals
Unless the producer and vocalist agree otherwise in writing, a vocalist grants the producer a license to use the delivered vocal recording for the specific use described at the time of the order. This is a license, not a full transfer of ownership. The vocalist retains ownership of and rights in their underlying performance except to the extent expressly granted.
The producer is responsible for confirming the scope of rights they need (for example, streaming, sync, sampling, or exclusivity) before release.
Consent & Release
Producers may not commercially release, distribute, or otherwise exploit a vocalist's performance beyond the rights the vocalist has granted, or before any required payment and consent are complete. Releasing a performance without the vocalist's consent or outside the agreed license is a violation of these terms and may result in removal from the platform.
Vocalists are responsible for only granting rights they actually hold and for honoring the terms they agree to with a producer.
Payments, Fees & Payouts
Payments for orders are processed through Take. Take may charge service fees, which are disclosed before checkout. Vocalist payouts are released according to the schedule shown at the time of the order. Users are responsible for their own taxes, and Take may issue tax forms (such as a 1099) where required by law.
Revisions, Delivery & Cancellations
The number of revisions, delivery timeline, and cancellation or refund terms are defined by the package or quote agreed at the time of the order. Take may, at its discretion, mediate or issue refunds where an order is not delivered as described.
Disputes Between Users
Disputes about work, rights, or payment are primarily between the producer and the vocalist. Take may, but is not obligated to, help resolve disputes and may make a final decision regarding payments held on the platform.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Take Labs LLC harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the platform, or your dealings with other users, including any claim that a release or use of a performance was unauthorized.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to upload illegal or harmful content or attempt to disrupt the website.
We may remove users at any time.
No Warranties
The website is provided "as is" without warranties.
Limitation of Liability
Take Labs LLC is not liable for damages arising from website use.

Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use of Take after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
